First Year Students

Applying to Wells College is fast and simple! For most students, we’ll provide a decision within two weeks. Students may submit the free Wells application or use the Common App by clicking your preferred choice below.

Students applying for first-year admission should have their school submit their official high school and/or secondary school transcripts showing a minimum of four academic subjects each year, including:

• 3 years of English
• 3 or more years of Mathematics
• 3 or more years of Social Science
• 2 or more years of Laboratory Science
• 1 or more years of a foreign language

NOTE: Wells College is a test-free institution. Standardized tests such as the SAT and ACT are not required and will not be considered when reviewing your application for admission. 

• You are welcome to submit a recommendation from a high-school teacher in an academic subject and/or a personal essay or writing sample.
• You may also showcase your unique talents and potential by including a résumé, your creative portfolio, or a video recording of a musical, theatrical, athletic or other performance.

To unlock all possible funding opportunities and help us provide you with the most complete financial aid award package, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and submit it to Wells College using our school code. You may file the FAFSA as soon as it becomes available in early October.
