Do you know a junior in your high school who stands out from the crowd?

A student who is spirited, bright, and who demonstrates leadership potential?

We invite you to nominate two (2) outstanding students from your school for the 21st Century Leadership Award.

This award celebrates high school juniors for their exemplary leadership demonstrated through academic performance, integrity, and community spirit. At the end of their junior year, honorees receive a pre-scholarship of $10,000* for each year of study at Wells College. You will receive a certificate signed by Wells College President Jonathan Gibralter as notification and for presentation during your spring honors/awards celebration. Recipients will be invited to a special admissions events in the fall and receive priority application review.

A maximum of two (2) qualifying students can be nominated by counselors from each school. Qualified candidates must have:

A cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (85%) or higher

Demonstrated leadership ability and/or potential through school and community activities

Please note that as an NCAA Division III college, athletic participation is not considered when selecting candidates for this award.

 

*Upon acceptance, 21st Century Leadership Award recipients are eligible for additional merit-based scholarships. This $10,000 award may be combined with other awards up to the maximum scholarship funding allowed by the institution.
