The Wells College Visiting Writers Series will welcome author Adam Clay to campus for a reading and discussion of his work. Adam will be joined by Wells’ own Amanda Bottorff ’18, who will read from her award-winning creative nonfiction. The reading will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 20, in the Art Exhibit Room of Macmillan Hall on the Wells College campus. This event is free, and all are welcome to attend.
Adam Clay is the author of Stranger (Milkweed Editions, 2016), A Hotel Lobby at the Edge of the World (Milkweed Editions, 2012), and The Wash (Parlor Press, 2006). His poems have appeared in Ploughshares, Crab Orchard Review, Boston Review, Iowa Review, The Pinch, and elsewhere. A co-editor of TYPO Magazine, he serves as a Book Review Editor for Kenyon Review and teaches at the University of Illinois Springfield.
Amanda is a junior at Wells College majoring in Visual Arts with a minor in Creative Writing. When she’s not finishing a short story at 3 a.m. she’s eating cookies in bed and watching cartoons.
