Synopsis
Ecologist, activist and educator Mandy Merklein is a 1982 graduate of Wells and co-founder of Permacultura Mediterránea, Women’s Permaculture Guild, and Youth in Permaculture. In her talk, she will explore how permaculture, systems thinking, and holistic design can be applied to our own lives, communities and bioregions to help guide us towards a more resilient and regenerative future. Mandy will share on-the-ground examples of the permaculture movement at work in regenerative agriculture, climate change mitigation projects, community and education programs, in organizational power structures, and in personal lives.
