The Offices of Diversity and Inclusion, Campus Safety, the Dean of Students, and Student Activities invite students to a special session with activist, teacher, writer and speaker Robyn Ochs. Robyn will present a program titled “Beyond Binaries: Identity & Sexuality” at 7:30 p.m. Friday, September 8, in the de Witt Lecture Hall (106) of Zabriskie Hall.

How do we assign labels to our complicated and unique experiences of sexuality? This interactive program will explore the landscape of sexuality, conduct a thought-provoking anonymous survey of those present, and look together at the data. Where do we fall on various sexuality continua? How do we label? How old were we when we came to our identities and to our sexualities? How asexual/sexual are we? How well do our friends/family members understand our sexuality? This program will expand your perspective and change the way you think about labels.

Note: Robyn will also be meeting throughout the day with faculty and staff committees on inclusion and intercultural excellence, members of the campus safety office, and representatives from student groups. Please check your campus email for more information.
