Wells College is pleased to announce the lineup of instructors and classes for the 2012 Book Arts Summer Institute. The Institute will span three weeks from July 8 to 28, each week offering several courses to choose from in topics including calligraphy, bookbinding, printing, paper engineering, typecasting and design.

These intense, hands-on classes will provide personal attention from internationally-known book artists, giving participants experience in specialized techniques and strategies as well as the ability to continue to develop the skills they learn. Participants are able to enjoy private accommodations in air-conditioned residence halls and meals in the College’s dining hall prepared by chefs and staff of the Inns of Aurora.

Here are the courses available at this year’s Summer Institute:

“The Letterpress Artist: Simple Books on the Vandercook” taught by Sarah Bryant
