Sustainable Business Series: “The Role of Business in Designing a Sustainable Economy”

The Wells College Center for Sustainability and the Environment presents a talk by Laura Ornstein, coordinator of the New York State Sustainable Business Council, at 7 p.m. on Monday, February 8, in the de Witt Lecture Hall (106) Zabriskie Hall. The talk is titled titled “The Role of Business in Designing a Sustainable Economy”; this event is free, and all are welcome to attend.

Laura Ornstein is the coordinator of the New York State Sustainable Business Council, an alliance of business organizations and businesses committed to advancing a vibrant, just, and sustainable economy in the state. Priority issues for the council include advocating for safer chemicals and products and supporting the Governor’s ban on hydrofracking for natural gas. Ms. Ornstein’s background includes policy advocacy at the local, county, and state levels with a focus on energy and food-related issues.
