President Jonathan Gibralter stated, “Wells is thrilled to have Dr. Amy Considine join us as we launch our new strategic initiative to connect Wells to the workforce needs of our time. She brings a wealth of experience to Wells and will lead our initiative to tailor our educational opportunities to meet company needs. Bringing higher education together with business and industry is critical for all of us and Dr. Considine is just the person to move us forward.”
Wells College Board Chair Marie Carroll added, “As an alumna and chair of the Wells College Board, I know how much my work life as the vice president of Finance & Planning at Anheuser-Busch was shaped by my time at Wells. I am confident by building new relationships with business and industry Dr. Considine will ensure that Wells benefits our region, our state, and many, many lives in new ways.”
As the vice president for workforce partnerships, Considine will forge partnerships between the College and regional employers, creating new opportunities for professionals in the region to develop their skill sets and advance their careers. These new certification and professional development programs also will allow the College to become a broader resource for the community.
Considine is well suited for the challenges of the new role. She holds a Master of Science in Business Management from Nazareth College of Rochester School of Management, as well as a Doctor of Education in Executive Leadership from St. John Fisher University. With over 25 years of senior leadership experience, she has brought her professional insights to an array of industries. Her extensive experience in logistics, project management and customer experience will serve her well to drive the College’s new initiative forward.
Considine resides in Honeoye Falls, New York, with her family and her pets. She enjoys playing piano, hiking, biking, yoga, cooking, reading and spending time with family and friends.
