Title IX in the Education Amendments of 1972 prohibits discrimination based on sex in educational programs and activities that receive federal financial assistance. Wells College is committed to complying with Title IX and providing and educational, working and living environment that is free from gender or sex discrimination and sexual misconduct.
The Director of Human Resources and Business Services serves as the College Title IX Coordinator and manages the College's compliance with Title IX. When a student feels that ze has been subject to discrimination on the basis of sex, ze may contact the Title IX Coordinator to bring concerns forward for the purpose of obtaining a prompt and equitable resolution.
