The Visual Arts program is pleased to announce the opening of a two-person exhibition by senior Wells students Joyglenn Lionel and Chris A. Price. The show will be open to the public for a reception on May 3, 6-8 pm, and will remain on view by appointment until May 18.

Joyglenn Lionel (Brooklyn, New York) is an interdisciplinary artist currently working with wood, paper, and installation to create architectural sculptures depicting what gentrification may look like if condensed into one moment. While at Wells, Joyglenn spent a semester studying abroad in Florence, Italy at Lorenzo de Medici, and studied widely through the liberal arts in fields such as Psychology, Anthropology, Philosophy, Political Science, Sustainability, and Creative Writing. Joyglenn will graduate from Wells College in May with a major in Visual Arts: Studio Art.

Chris Price is a lifelong resident of Auburn, New York, where he received an Associate's Degree in Studio Art from Cayuga Community College.  Chris uses painting, letterpress, and hand-bound books to consider the connections between perception, labor, and representation. Chris was introduced to book arts at the Wells College Book Arts Center, and currently works at Bixler Press & Type Foundry. He will graduate from Wells in May with a major in Visual Arts: Studio Art and a minor in Book Arts.
