Access Your Room Assignment

Follow these simple steps to access your room assignment:

  1. Log into the Globe
  2. Navigate to the "Students" tab
  3. Find "Residence Life" on the lefthand menu
  4. Click on "Generate Your Housing Info" on the right hand side
  5. Rejoice!

Double Single
  • Floor (from bed to bed, wall to closet; max size for rug) 8'7'' x 13'2''
  • Closet width (to built-in shelf): 4' (2 built-in shelves at top of closet, 4 hooks on back, 1 hanging bar across. Built-in shelf on side, 1' deep)
  • Window 5'11'' tall x 4'2'' wide
  • Built-in dresser 3'6'' tall x 2'5'' wide x 1'8'' deep
  • Built-in bookshelves at head of bed 3'1'' wide x 9'' deep x 2'9'' tall (2 shelves and top of unit for storage)
  • Built-in desk 4'4'' wide x 2'4'' deep x 2'5'' tall (1 long drawer in middle, 3 small drawers on side)
  • Built-in hanging bookshelf over desk 2'4'' wide x 3'2'' tall x 9'' deep (3 shelves and top of unit for storage)

  • Surge protector power strip (must have on/off switch)
  • Microwave (below 900 watts) and mini fridge (max 5 cubic feet); both can be rented from myMicroFridge (includes campus delivery)
  • Laundry basket and laundry materials (washers and dyers are FREE to use in each residence hall)
  • Shower caddy
  • Shower shoes
  • Fan
  • Painter's Tape or 3M tape and hooks for frames and posters
  • Decorations
  • Cable cords for TVs
  • Bed risers (bed risers with built-in electronic outlets are prohibited)
  • Furniture. Your room will contain a desk, chair, bed, mattress, and dresser
  • Extension cords
  • Pets. The only kind of pet allowed on campus are toothless fish in a tank that is maximum 5 gallons
  • Candles or candle warmers
  • Incense
  • Air conditioners (neither window nor floor models are allowed)
  • Space heaters
  • Toaster, toaster oven, hot plates, Foreman Grills, drip coffee makers, or anything with an exposed heating element
  • Plug-in air fresheners
  • Deocrative lighting such as string lights or holiday lights, unless UL approved
  • Electric blankets
  • Lava lamps or high-intensity lamps
  • Nails, screws, tacks, duct tape for wall decorations
  • Tapestries and large wall coverings
  • Bed risers with built-in electronic outlets
  • Cooking supplies (pots, pans, silverware, etc)
  • Crockpots, kettles, rice cookers (these can only be used in kitchen areas and not in individual student rooms
  • Air fresheners that are not plug-in
  • Telephone (landlines are available for installations in rooms by request)
  • First aid kit
