About the College's Testing Program

In spring 2021, Wells College has mandated that all students, faculty and staff who are present on campus must be tested for COVID-19 every week. (Those who are working/studying remotely for the entire semester are exempt from this requirement.)

Important Definitions

Completed: Number of tests for which a result has been returned in dates listed
Positive: Tests for which a positive result has been returned from on-campus surveillance testing of students and employees during the relevant time period
# of New Off-Campus Positive Cases: Total number of positive cases reported to the College by another organization, such as a county health department, during the relevant time period
New # of On-Campus Students in Isolation: Total number of residential students who have been temporarily moved to on-campus isolation due to a positive test result
New # of On-Campus Students in Quarantine: Total number of residential students who have been temporarily moved to on-campus quarantine due to close contact, potential exposure, or similar reason
Total # of Individuals in Quarantine: Total number of individuals who are currently in mandated quarantine either on or off campus
