The Computer Science program is available as both a major and a minor.
Computer research is yielding powerful new methods of analysis and visualization in all kinds of areas, making computer science an essential part of a 21st century liberal arts education. Not only is computer science a very marketable degree, it’s a major in which you will learn to think creatively and rationally to solve a variety of challenging problems.
At Wells, you’ll be part of a highly collaborative work environment that offers the opportunities of a larger university and the one-on-one mentorship of a small college. Classes are taught by professors, not teaching assistants, and faculty are accessible and involved. Our Computer Science program is also designed to be flexible so that you can design an academic experience that best suits your interests and career objectives. For your senior thesis, you’ll have the opportunity to work through an original, high-level project directly related to your career field, much in the style of graduate-level work.
