NYC Express Line to Wells

register for the Express Line Bus Trip (please note that this event is for admitted students only)

All transportation, meals, and entertainment will be provided. The $40 temporary registration hold will be refunded to you upon attendance.

Cancellation: All cancellations must be received by the Admissions Office before noon on Friday, February 16.  If cancellation is received past this deadline and the registrant does not attend the event, the registration hold becomes a no-show fee.

Travel

Pick-Up: Check-in is 8:30 a.m. at the Jacob K. Javits Conference Center (side entrance), 655 W. 34th Street. Students will leave Wells College no later than 2 p.m. on February 22 for estimated return to New York City at 7 p.m. (depending on traffic). Drop-off location is the same at the side entrance of the Jacob K. Javits Conference Center.

For emergencies during the event: The Wells College Department of Campus Safety ensures campus security 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Campus Safety Officers are New York State Licensed Security Guards and have all appropriate training in emergency procedures and First Aid. Contact Campus Safety at (315) 364-3229.

11:30 a.m. Wells Community Social: Meet current faculty, students, and staff
Noon Lunch at the Dining Hall
1 p.m. Depart Wells for New York City

What to Bring

Below is a recommended list of items you should bring with you on the bus.

  • Overnight Visit Policy Form: Electronic or Printable
  • Sleeping bag (if you do not own one, we will be happy to provide you with a sleeping bag)
  • Pillow
  • Toiletries
  • Personal medication (if necessary)
  • Change of clothing
  • Weather-appropriate attire. Bring boots and a coat! Projected temperature for Wednesday is 40°-60°F with rain, with Thursday being colder at 30°-40°F overcast.
Important Notes
  • All meals will be provided while students are on campus (Wednesday: Dinner; Thursday: Breakfast & Lunch; to-go snack bags)
  • Verizon users enjoy the best cellular reception on the Wells College campus. Free Wi-Fi is available, so students will be able to use email, FaceTime, WhatsApp, etc. Students should have a plan for communicating with family before leaving New York City.
  • All students are responsible for returning home from the bus drop-off point.
