Joshua AM Ross Exhibition Opens Oct. 13 at the String Room Gallery

October 3, 2022
The solo exhibition will remain on view until Thursday, November 24.

The String Room Gallery of Wells College is pleased to announce the opening of "Stumbling Stumbling," a solo exhibition by 2022 Artist-in-Residence Joshua AM Ross.

Joshua AM Ross is a photographer who works in drawing and fabric and is represented by Wonzimer Gallery (Los Angeles, CA). His research-based practice is an entrenched phenomenological approach that investigates institutional, bodily, and spatial structures that organize and influence perception. Stumbling Stumbling will feature a selection of new colored pencil and graphite works on paper. While on campus, Ross will work with Visual Arts students, visit classes, and hold Open Hours in the String Room Gallery.

All are welcome to the gallery for a public reception on Thursday, October 13, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., with a talk by the artist at 5:00 pm. Light refreshments will be served. The exhibition will remain on view until Thursday, November 24. Hours are Thursday through Tuesday from 1-5 pm. Masks are encouraged indoors on the College's campus.

Our mission is for every student to think critically, reason wisely and act humanely as they cultivate meaningful lives. On our beautiful lakeside campus, students gain the knowledge, skills and experience to create their own unique path.
