The show will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Book Arts Center and will showcase the work of 11 artists who have held the position of Victor Hammer Fellowship at Wells College. Artwork completed during their fellowship as well as more recent work will be included in the exhibit, which runs through Nov. 30, 2018.

The work featured presents a wide scope of techniques and media, ranging from traditional bookbinding, letterpress printing and calligraphy to experimental forms that incorporate video and sculptural elements, all related to the field of book arts. Artists included in the show are: Jocelynn Webb Pederson, Terrence Chouinard, Sarah Roberts, Margot Ecke, Rachel Wiecking, Sarah Bryant, Katie Baldwin, Laura Rowley, Jenna Rodriguez, H. R. Buechler and Leah Mackin.

The Victor Hammer Fellowship was established in 1998, five years after the founding of the Books Arts Center. The fellowship provides an opportunity for artists actively working in the field of book arts to share their practices with the greater Wells College community through teaching, working and collaborating.

Since its founding, the Wells Book Arts Center has become a unique center of production and study in the book arts, with highly sought after facilities and vibrant year-round programming. In addition to integrating into the academic curriculum of the Visiting Writers Series, operates the Wells College Press, hosts a lecture series and draws accomplished book art artists to campus every summer for the Summer Book Arts Institute.
