Earth Week at Wells

Join Campus Greens and the Center for Sustainability and the Environment for a week-long celebration of environmentally-responsible living.

The Campus Greens student environmental group has planned a week of activities and community events to encourage us all to lead more environmentally-responsible lives, one decision at a time. These include film screenings, pledges to conserve, a campus cleanup, bonfire, and participation in the March for Science demonstration in Ithaca, NY. The schedule is:

Monday, April 17th

Sustainability Perspectives Series

12:20 p.m., de Witt Lecture Room, Zabriskie 106
"The League of Women Voters and Effective Citizenship: Informed Work on Legislation, Lobbying and Educating the Public"
Presented by Kay Wagner, Natural Resources Committee, LWVTC

No Shower Monday

Try going a whole day without showering! If you can't not shower, at least take a much shorter one. Think about all the water and energy we can save!

Tuesday, April 18th

Trashless Tuesday

Challenge yourself to generate as little trash as possible on Tuesday, April 18th. Carry around your own (or supplied) reusable or plastic bag, and generate a physical representation of how much trash you actually generate in a day. Wells Campus Greens will lead by example!

Wednesday, April 19th

Environmental Racism Panel

Campus Cleanup

March for Science in Ithaca

7:00 – 8:00 p.m., Boathouse Firepit (weather permitting)
