On Saturday, September 13, Wells College Assistant Professor of Spanish Gerardo Cummings, Associate Professor of Sociology Daniel Renfrow, and seven Wells students volunteered with the 2014 AIDS Ride for Life. The group staffed the Verdi Signs Pit Stop, where they distributed drinks and snacks to riders completing the 100-mile course around Cayuga Lake. This is the third year that a group from Wells has volunteered with the ride.

The AIDS Ride for Life raises funds for the Southern Tier AIDS Program (, which provides supportive services to HIV+ persons and state of the art prevention education. The event raised over $250,000.
