Earth Week at Wells

Campus and community events for Earth Week are sponsored by Campus Greens, FORCES, and Greenhouse Club.

Wells is pleased to present the following events for Earth Week, sponsored and organized by student organizations Campus Greens, FORCES (Friends of Recreation, Conservation, and Environmental Stewardship), and Greenhouse Club. Earth Week celebrations include:

Monday, April 21 - No Shower Monday (Skipping one shower saves 50 gallons of water  used for the average 10 minute shower)

Tuesday, April 22 - Earth Day

  • Campus Cleanup @ 5 p.m. Meet at the Sycamore 
  • Stargazing @ 9 p.m. Meet at Weld and bring a thermos. There will be a meteor shower.
  • The students of WGS 385 have organized no paper products/disposable dishware day in the Dining Hall to reduce paper waste for Earth Day.

Wednesday, April 23 - Wasteless Wall-E Wednesday (Remember to recycle!)

  • Wall-E screening in Stratton 209 @ 8 p.m.

Thursday, April 24 - Turnt-Up to Turn Off - Pledge to unplug electronics.

Friday, April 25 - Woods Lot Planting @ 4:30 p.m. Join student organizers for weeding and planting.
