Since 2002 the Wells College community has come together to discuss and sometimes disagree about what we can and should do for our world. This year the theme is “Where Do We Go from Here: Identity, Culture, and Climate.” On Friday, March 28 students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members with engage around ideas including sustainability, culture change, school segregation, conservation efforts, gas storage and transportation, human rights, and peace. The keynote speaker is a Wells alumna and the founder of Afghanistan Samsortya, an organization that addresses the environmental damage being done in Afghanistan. Dr. Mariam Raqib ’97 will speak about “Global Activism and Sustainable Development,” in Stratton 209 at 1:30 p.m. All are encouraged to join us for the full day or just a few sessions. Registration will be available on-line this Friday or prior to the event 9:00 a.m. until noon in the Macmillan Lobby on Friday, March 28.
