Women's Swimming

AURORA, N.Y. - The Wells College women’s swimming team fell 139-116 to the Gallaudet University Bison’s on Saturday afternoon in Washington, D.C. The Express placed first in six of 14 events, including three first place finishes by Olivia Touron (Cato, N.Y.).


Touron helped lead the 200 Yard Medley Relay team of Erika Bareiss (Clinton, N.Y.), Idolyn Villiotti (Amherst, N.Y.), and Hallie Hanson (Ashville, N.Y.) to a first place finish with a time of 2:11.89. Touron also placed first in the 1000 Yard and 500 Yard Freestyle with times of 13:43.94 and 6:33.70 respectively.


Villiotti also placed first in the 100 Yard Backstroke with a time of 1:13.14 and first in the 100 Butterfly with a time of 1:18.95, while placing second in the 100 Freestyle with a time of 1:06.85.


Hanson rounded out the top finishers for the Express, placing first in the 200 Yard Backstroke with a time of 2:46.45, while also placing second in the 200 Yard I.M. with a time of 2:46.46.
