Women's Swimming

AURORA, N.Y. – The Wells College women’s swimming team fell 68-39 to the visiting SUNY Brockport Golden Eagles on Saturday afternoon in Aurora. The Golden Eagles took first place in 10 of 15 events to earn the victory.


Erika Bareiss (Clinton, N.Y.) paced the Express, placing first in the 100 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 1:22.80 – besting the next closest competitor by over three seconds. Bareiss also placed second in the 200 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 3:06.08 and helped lead the 200 Yard Medley Relay team, of Hallie Hanson (Ashville, N.Y.), Idolyn Villiotti (Amherst, N.Y.), and Olivia Touron (Cato, N.Y.), to a second place finish with a time of 2:10.57.


Touron also placed second in the 200 Yard Freestyle touching the wall with a time of 2:22.24.


The Express return to the pool next Saturday when they travel to take on Utica College at 1:00 p.m. in Utica, N.Y.
