Women's Cross Country

AURORA, N.Y. – Emily Middlebrook (Newark, N.Y.) has been named the NEAC Women’s Cross Country Student-Athlete of the Week after two outstanding performances for the Wells College Express. Middlebrook, a freshmen, took first place in both events she competed in, beating 11 other runners in a three-mile dual meet against Keuka College Wednesday with a time of 21:26. (7:08 pace per mile) before being the first runner to cross the finish line out of 86 runners at the 5k Cazenovia College Homecoming Invitational Saturday with a time of 21:33 (6:56 pace per mile). The Express won the dual meet against Keuka College and placed fourth out of 11 teams at Saturday’s invitational. This is Middlebrook’s second time earning this award.

 

The Express return to the road this Saturday when they travel to Geneva to take part in the Hamilton College Invitational at 11:00 am.
