AURORA, N.Y. - Wells College sophomore women’s basketball player Ashley Roser (Taberg, N.Y./Camden) has been named D-III News Pre-Season All-American Honorable Mention for the upcoming season. The publication has also named Roser as the Pre-season North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Player of the Year.

 

Roser burst onto the scene last season as freshmen earning D-III News Freshmen All-American honors and NEAC First Team All-Conference. She finished the season with a total of 547 points and a NEAC leading 21.6 points per game, while finishing tied for the conference lead in rebounds per game with 13.8. Roser also led the conference in blocks with 80, blocks per game with 3.33, and double-doubles with 21. Roser’s statistics ranked her nationally in points per game (7th), rebounds per game (10th), blocked shots per game (14th), and double-doubles (3rd), while being named NEAC Student-Athlete of the Week four-times during the season.

 

The Express open their season on Nov. 15 against Hilbert College at 6 p.m. in Aurora.
