Women's Cross Country

GENEVA, N.Y. - The Wells College women's cross country team placed fourth out of five teams at the Heron Invitational held Saturday afternoon in Geneva. Daemen College took the top overall team spot with 34 points. William Smith place second with 43 points, and SUNY ESF place third with 64 points.

 

Emily Middlebrook paced the Express crossing the finish line in third place  out of 49 runners with a time of 19:32. Lindsey Guzewicz placed 17th with a time of 21:14. Anatasia Benson crossed the line in 22:22, good for 30th on the afternoon.

 

Veronica Frisenda placed 41st with a time of 23:49. Sarah Deschenes placed 45th with a time of 25:36. Tara Wild finished 46th with a time of 26:36 and the Danielle King rounded out the group of seven Express runners in 49th place with a time of 30:22.

 

The Express will next head to the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) championship next Saturday at host SUNY Cobleskill in Cobleskill, N.Y.
