Thank you for registering for the Henry Wells Scholars Celebration! This page will be regularly updated with important information regarding the Celebration as the event approaches. Please find instructions and other details to help you arrange your trip by selecting your region of departure below.

 Remember to complete the Overnight Visit Policy and mail or fax the form to the Admissions Office before your arrival on campus!

Travel

For Scholars coming from New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, or Massachusetts

Most of Scholars will be arriving to Wells for the Celebration on the evening of Thursday, March 23 and departing on Saturday, March 25 in order to be on campus for the full day of festivities on Friday, March 24. On-campus lodging will be arranged with a student host for Thursday and Friday nights. Your travel mileage will be reimbursed to and from Wells College. Meals are also included.

For Scholars from states other than the ones listed above

**Complimentary flight booking has concluded**
If you are a Scholar who wishes to participate in the Celebration and lives outside of New York State, please call the Admissions Office at 1-800-952-9355. All flight arrangements will be considered on an individual basis.

Wells College will provide transportation from the airport where you arrive to campus on Thursday, March 23 and back to your departing airport on Saturday, March 25. You will receive more information about where to meet the Wells College shuttle. Please be sure to be at this assigned location by the designated time to ensure your ride. Meals are included.

Driving Directions

The New York State Thruway (Interstate Route 90) is 25 miles to the north. Route 17 (the Southern Tier Expressway and the future I-86) is approximately 50 miles to the south. Route I-81 is 30 miles to the east.

From the New York State Thruway and traveling West
Exit at Weedsport (#40); make a right onto Route 34 south to Auburn; make a right onto Routes 5 & 20 west and a left onto Route 326 to the village of Union Springs; turn left on local Route 90 to Aurora.

From the New York State Thruway and traveling East
Exit at Waterloo (#41); turn right at the tollbooth and turn left again onto Route 318. Make a left onto Routes 5 & 20 east; then a right onto local Route 90 through the villages of Cayuga and Union Springs to Aurora.

From Route 17/ Interstate 86 and traveling West
Take I-81 to Homer exit (#12); make a right at the end of the exit ramp onto Route 281 north; a left onto Route 90 (very soon after turning onto Route 281); take local 90 to Aurora (approximately 40 miles).

From Route 17/ Interstate 86 and traveling East
Exit at Route 13 (#54) north to Ithaca; exit off of Route 13 onto Route 34 north to Lansing; make a left onto Route 34B; make another left onto Route 90 in King Ferry; nine miles to Aurora.

Parking on Campus

You can park anywhere there is a designated parking spot available on campus, other than handicapped spots.

If you have guests accompanying you for the Celebration, there are a variety of accommodations available off-campus. Below are some options in Aurora, where Wells College is located, as well as neighboring towns such as King Ferry (8 miles away), Auburn (18 miles away), and Ithaca (25 miles away).
