Accomplishments

Christine Elfman, Assistant Professor of Studio Art and Book Arts presented a solo exhibition of her photographic works, “All solid shapes dissolve in light,” in “dust to dust,” at the Houston Center for Photography September 21st through November 19th.

Christine Elfman, Assistant Professor of Studio Arts, currently has work included in two local museum exhibitions.  Her photographs can be seen at the Herbert F. Johnson Museum at Cornell in the exhibition titled, Wonder and Wakefulness: The Nature of Piny the Elder, through June 11th; and at the Everson Museum of Art in Syracuse, in the exhibition celebrating Light Work’s 50th Anniversary through May 14th.  Her photographs are also being shown at Oigall Projects in Melbourne, Australia in an exhibition titled, The Chills.

Christine Elfman, Assistant Professor of Studio Arts, presented her photobook Salt Sand Silver at the Boston Art Book Fair this November.  The book contains photographs made while she was an artist in residence this summer on the Cape Cod National Seashore, and was letterpress printed and bound at the Wells Book Arts Center this fall.  The book has been acquired by the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts Library.
