The Wells College Theatre and Dance Department is proud to present "As the Ivy Grows," a new play created and written by six Wells College students in the Devised Theatre course during the fall 2018 semester. "As the Ivy Grows" will be performed in Phipps Auditorium in Macmillan Hall on the Wells College campus on Friday, Feb. 8 and Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019. The box office will open at 7:00 p.m. and the show will begin at 7:30 p.m. for each performance. Admission is free and open to the public.

"As the Ivy Grows" takes as its subject matter famous 19th-century Wells graduates Frances Folsom Cleveland and Emma Lampert Cooper (from the classes of 1885 and 1875, respectively). The play is made up of scenes inspired by these women's lives and intermingles them with contemporary Wells students and politics.

Please note that the audience will move locations during the performance. The travel is indoors, but does involve a flight of stairs. Patrons with mobility challenges are strongly advised to alert the box office in advance.

Admission to "As the Ivy Grows" is free and tickets are available at the door or by calling the box office at 315.364.3456. For more information, please contact Professor Siouxsie Easter at seaster@wells.edu or 315.364.3232.
