The Visiting Writers Series is proud to welcome Martha Collins and Martin Rock for a reading and discussion of their work.

Martha Collins has also published eight collections of poems, most recently “Admit One: An American Scrapbook” (Pittsburgh, 2016); three books of co-translations from the Vietnamese; and two chapbooks. She founded the Creative Writing Program at UMass-Boston, and for ten years was Pauline Delaney Professor of Creative Writing at Oberlin College. She is currently editor-at-large for FIELD magazine and one of the editors of the Oberlin College Press.

Martin Rock is the author of “Residuum” (2015 Editor’s Choice Award, Cleveland State University Poetry Center) as well as two chapbooks: “Dear Mark” (Brooklyn Arts Press, 2013) and “Fish, You Bird” (Pilot, 2010, co-written with Phillip D. Ischy). His poems have appeared in the Academy of American Poets’ “Poem-a-Day,” Missouri Review’s “Poem of the Week,” AGNI, Best New Poets 2012, Black Warrior Review, Conduit, DIAGRAM, and other journals.

All Visiting Writers Series events are free and open to the public.
