Teaching Critical Thinking and Media Literacy through Sustainability Education

Chris Sperry, director of curriculum and staff development for Project LookSharp, Ithaca College’s media literacy initiative, will present an interactive workshop that models how to integrate learning about sustainability issues with the teaching of critical literacy skills. Participants will explore Constructivist Media Decoding as a pedagogy for teaching about controversial issues.

This event will take place at 12:20 p.m. Monday, April 24, in the deWitt Lecture Room (Zabriskie 106) on the Wells College campus. Admission is free, and all are welcome to attend.

This talk is part of the Center for Sustainability and the Environment's Sustainability Perspectives Series.
