The Wells College Center for Sustainability and the Environment presents a Sustainability Perspectives Series talk with Rebecca Ruggles, director of the Maryland Environmental Health Network. The talk will take place at 12:20 – 1:20 p.m., Monday, October 19, in the Hostetter Lecture Room (209) of Stratton Hall.

Ruggles’ talk, “Informed Consumer and Active Citizen – Essential Paths to Toxics Protections,” will explain how you can make more informed choices about the cleaning and personal care products you bring into your home. US policy on toxics is more favorable toward industry than toward protecting the average citizen. Learn what you can do to protect yourself and your family while also demanding safer regulations.

The Sustainability Perspectives series, which explores the concept of sustainability from a variety of viewpoints, is free and open to the public.
