In spring 2022, all students and employees will be subject to mandatory weekly testing during the first two weeks of the semester (the weeks of Jan. 24 and Jan. 31). After that, the following individuals must continue to test weekly:
Those who are not yet eligible for a booster are exempt from the weekly testing requirement, but are expected to get the booster once they are eligible.
If you have not already done so, please send evidence of your vaccination to covidvac@wells.edu. Evidence may include your completed CDC vaccination card and/or documentation from your primary care provider, local health department. If you would like to request a waiver from the vaccination requirement, please contact the Dean of Students or the Office of Human Resources.
Any student who receives a positive COVID-19 test result or who is experiencing severe COVID-like symptoms, and who does not wish to return home, will be provided with an isolation room on campus and daily meals. We are committed to providing daily support and care for students who have to go into isolation, and our staff will help identify any academic, medical, food, or mental health support needs, and arrange for the appropriate services to be provided.
In addition, by law we are required to report any positive test results to the Cayuga County Health Department, which will manage the contact tracing that is required with assistance from the College and the College’s Community Medical Center.
