Testing

Wells student makes hand gesture in front of COVID test site in Stratton Hall

WEEKLY TESTING

Vaccinations:
The Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna bivalent boosters are now widely available. Please visit https://www.vaccines.gov/ to find a local pharmacy and schedule your bivalent booster.
Let's continue to keep our campus community safe by testing and wearing a well-fitting mask when we do not feel well and becoming experts in social distancing. We need to do the same if we have recently been in close contact with one or more individuals who may have recently tested positive for COVID-19.

Weekly Testing Times:

  • Tuesdays: 12:00 PM – 3:30 PM in Sommer Center/Smith Hall
  • Thursdays: 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM in Sommer Center/Smith Hal
  • Fridays: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM in Sommer Center/Smith Hall

HOW TO SUBMIT BOOSTER SHOT DOCUMENTATION

If you have not already done so, please send evidence of your vaccination to covidvac@wells.edu. Evidence may include your completed CDC vaccination card and/or documentation. If you would like to request a waiver from the vaccination requirement, please contact Geoffrey Gabriel at ggabriel@wells.edu.

VACCINATION WAIVER REQUESTS

Wells College students and employees must use this form to request a waiver from the College's policy mandating COVID-19 vaccinations.

To be exempt from this COVID-19 vaccine policy, students and employees must provide a brief statement explaining their reasons for not obtaining the COVID-19 vaccine, describing either a medical, religious, or other reason that precludes them from becoming vaccinated. The Office of the Dean of Students and the Office of Human Resources will coordinate the exemption review process for students and employees, respectively.

EMPLOYEE requests may also be submitted in person to the Office of Human Resources (Macmillan 221).

The College reserves the right to request additional documentation to support the requested medical, religious or other exemption request.

ABOUT ON-CAMPUS  ISOLATION

Any student who receives a positive COVID-19 test result or who is experiencing severe COVID-like symptoms, and who does not wish to return home, will be provided with an isolation room on campus and daily meals. We are committed to providing daily support and care for students who have to go into isolation, and our staff will help identify any academic, medical, food, or mental health support needs, and arrange for the appropriate services to be provided.
