Athletics and Recreation

Administrators and coaches have been in intensive dialog at all levels to prepare for the safe resumption of athletics, expecting to resume practice and competition as soon as it is safe with abbreviated schedules, limited travel within New York State as much as possible, frequent testing of all athletes prior to competitions, no in-person spectators until further notice, and detailed protocols for safety.

During normal operations, the pool is reserved primarily for student use. Masks must be worn at all times in athletic facilities except for the pool.

Update on Spring 2021 Competition

In March 2021, the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Presidents' Council approved moving forward with a formal return to competition for spring sports in 2021. No spectators, fans or audience are authorized to attend an intercollegiate sport competition or training program until further notice. Although New York State announced updated guidance for collegiate sports in early April, the NEAC rules prohibiting all spectators will supersede this NYS guidance until further notice.

Wells College Athletics plans to livestream all home contests when possible. Please check the Wells College Express website (www.wells-express.com) for updates on athletics schedules and links to our livestreams.
