Athletics and Recreation

UPDATE ON FALL 2021 COMPETITION

As of mid-August, Wells College Athletics expects a return to regular practice and competition schedules. Spectators will be allowed on campus to attend games, and will be expected to adhere to all safety protocols just like any other visitor to campus.

Wells student-athletes who are not vaccinated, per NCAA guidance, will be tested for COVID-19 three times per week while their sport is in season. Because of this frequent testing, the NCAA is also allowing for student-athletes to participate in athletic practices and intercollegiate contests without wearing a mask, both indoors and outdoors. Athletes will be expected to wear masks before and after all events.

SPECTATOR POLICIES

Parents and other spectators are welcome to visit Wells College to attend sporting events. Please take note of the following safety protocols currently in place at Wells:

  • As of mid-August 2021, all individuals on campus must wear face masks indoors, regardless of vaccination status. We also highly recommend that masks be worn at any other point when you are unable to socially distance from others.
  • All unvaccinated individuals on campus must wear face masks indoors and must physically distance from others at all times.

Please note that these policies are subject to change at any time without advance notice.
