Physics

In this program, students study the fundamental laws of nature through investigation and mathematical formulation and examine the roles of computers in the sciences.

Classification: Major, Minor
Degree: Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science

Students will learn how physics interconnects with other sciences through an interdisciplinary, liberal arts program that enables them to bring a broad perspective to any problem.

The number of courses required for the major is 14 (46-49 semester hours). At least four of these courses (12 semester hours) must be at the 300-level or above. Internships may not be used to fulfill major requirements.

Students majoring in computer science or mathematics may minor in physics. Internships may not be used to fulfill minor requirements. The total number of courses required for the minor is 6 (21-22 semester hours).
