Welcome to the Wells community! This page contains helpful next steps for what to do after you have been accepted to Wells College. We're always happy to help, so if you have questions please contact the Enrollment Team through email or call 315-364-3264. Confirm Your Enrollment

1. CONFIRM YOUR ENROLLMENT BY SUBMITTING YOUR ENROLLMENT DEPOSIT: Your deposit secures your place in the upcoming term. This $300 non-refundable deposit will be credited towards your semester bill. Students who have confirmed their enrollment will receive access to important paperwork regarding campus housing assignments and early class registration. You can pay the deposit online through your Status Page in the "Payment Due" section:

2. SUBMIT YOUR FAFSA. We encourage all students to submit a completed FAFSA, regardless of financial need. Your FAFSA helps us determine additional financial aid and scholarships you may be eligible for. Send your FAFSA to Wells to uncover more funding opportunities!

3. ACCEPT YOUR FINANCIAL AID PACKAGE. Once you receive notification of your admission, you will also get a personalized financial aid package via postal mail. Review your Financial Aid Award Letter and sign to accept your awards, then upload the signed Award Letter as a scanned document or clearly lit photo through your Status Page. You can also send it to the Admissions Office through the mail. Remember to keep a copy for your records!

4. VISIT CAMPUS. Even if you've already been to our beautiful lakeside campus, come back and sit in on a class or request to spend a night in a residence hall with a current student host. Experience college living firsthand!

Financial Aid Quick Start

Create your unique FSA ID here. In addition to  students having a unique FSA ID, parents should also create their own unique ID.  The FSA ID provides you with a username and password that will give you access to all of the U.S. Department of Education’s consumer-facing websites, such as StudentLoans.gov, National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS), and My Federal Student Aid.  You will need your FSA ID to complete the FAFSA.

  1. Go to StudentLoans.gov
  2. Log in using your FSA ID
  3. Click on Complete Counseling (Entrance, Financial Awareness, Exit). Entrance counseling is required for all first-time borrowers.
  4. Choose Entrance Counseling and complete all sections
  5. Complete the Direct Loan Master Promissory Note (MPN)
  6. Sign, date, and return one copy of your Financial Aid Award Letter to the Financial Aid Office. Your signed award letter gives us permission to process your federal loans on your behalf.


  1. Go to StudentLoans.gov
  2. Log in using your FSA ID
  3. Choose Apply for a Direct PLUS Loan
  4. Complete Direct PLUS Loan Application for Parents to initiate the credit check. Complete all sections.
  5. The credit check will remain active for 90 days only. Another check will be performed if the loan application is certified by the College after 90 days has lapsed. If approved, complete the Direct PLUS Master Promissory Note (MPN).

  4. Health Report (must be submitted directly to the Medical Center; more details within the form)
  5. Proof of Health Insurance: Students who are United States citizens or permanent residents must upload a photocopy of the front and back of their health insurance card
  6. FERPA Release Form (once signed, you can upload this form directly from your Status Page)
  7. Students who are United States citizens or permanent residents: Proof of health insurance; upload a photocopy of your health insurance card on your Status Page
  8. Optional: Disabilities Disclosure Form
  9. Optional: Student Activities Interest Form
  10. Optional: Vehicle Registration Form (Note: A copy of your vehicle registration card must be submitted with the Vehicle Registration Form. Students who have submitted all required paperwork and permit fee will be issued their permits during orientation.)


  • Watch your inbox for invitations to exclusive campus events for admitted students! These events will give you a chance to take mock classes, speak with Financial Aid advisors, stay on campus overnight, chat with professors and current students, participate in campus life activities, and make friends with other admitted students who may become your classmates!

  • Get acquainted with the Globe. The Globe at Wells is a convenient portal where you can access student-only information from the College and also take important action, such as signing up for classes. You will receive your personal log-in information for the Globe around this time.
  • Pre-register for classes. Line up classes for your first semester in college! More details will be available around this time.


  • Wells Warm-Up: Friday, June 1 (more information forthcoming)
  • June 1: Housing Preference Form & Roommate Questionnaire Due
  • Submit all other required new student forms, such as the Health Report. Timely completion of these forms help us get to know you better and make sure all your unique needs are met before you move onto the campus. You can check which forms you need to complete on your Status Page.
  • Housing assignments are announced! More details will be available around mid-June.


  • Wells Warm-Up: Saturday, July 14 / Monday, July 16 (more information forthcoming)
  • Receive your very own wells.edu student email account! Details about your student email and how to log in will be sent to your personal email that we have on file for you. Be sure to check and confirm that we have the correct email address.


  • Move-In Day: Sunday, August 19
