Post-Graduate Planning

The Center for Academic and Career Advising helps link students with alumnae and alumni who have offered to provide career information,  sponsor internships, and host students at Wells College gatherings and receptions. Contact the center for more information or contact them at careers@wells.edu or 315.364.3225.

Our advising staff provide opportunities for students to speak with representatives of graduate schools and other programs, such as the Peace Corps, Americorps and Teach for America at the annual Wells graduate school fair. In addition, Wells students are invited to participate in job fairs at Cornell University, Ithaca College, and in nearby Rochester and Syracuse. These provide opportunities for students to meet with representatives from business, government, and nonprofit agencies.

Notices of job openings in career fields of interest to liberal arts students are shared with students. Employment readiness programs are directed to students during their senior year, and special attention is given to students applying to graduate and professional schools as are summer job opportunities, internships, and scholarships and fellowships for graduate and professional school.

A Powerful Mentor Network

But those business connections don't end when you graduate from Wells — quite the opposite, in fact! Our Office of Alumnae and Alumni Engagement hosts events in Aurora and all around the country year-round. Graduates are regularly invited to mingle with current students, faculty, and other friends of the College at events that include networking receptions, social events and happy hours, and major annual events including Reunion weekend as well as our Fall Weekend for key volunteers and other alumni leaders.

Our alunni network is a mighty one; you never know where you might find a "Wells connection"! See more at alumni.wells.edu.
