Professor of religion emeritus Arthur Bellinzoni made presentations of Biblical scholarship and the Gospel of Mark at Onondaga Community College in Syracuse and at the Interfaith Center in Lansing.
Marian Brown, director of the Center for Sustainability and the Environment, was asked to serve as a luncheon discussion facilitator for the Cultivating AGvocates conference for women affiliated with agriculture, sponsored by Cayuga Community College at the Hilton Garden Inn in Auburn on Feb. 13. Marian was also invited to present on the College's sustainability initiatives at the Feb. 19 meeting of the Ithaca–Lansing Rotary at Kendal in Ithaca.
Kinga Stryszowska-Hill, visiting assistant professor of environmental science, recently published her paper, "Performance of Wetland Environmental Quality Assessment Indicators at Evaluating Palustrine Wetlands in Northeastern New York State" in the Ecological Indicators journal. Co-authors included Catherine E. Benson (Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University), Brendan Carberry (Clarkson University), Michael A. Twiss (Clarkson University) and Tom A. Langen (Clarkson University).
Alexander Torres, visiting assistant professor of Spanish, has signed a contract with Peter Lang Publishing to publish his first book, "Bastardos de la modernidad: el Bildungsroman roquero en América Latina" ("Bastards of Modernity: The Rock 'n Roll Bildungsroman in Latin America").
