The foundation of the Journalism minor is a introductory course in media theory and its application, an writing course which emphasizes formal conventions and clarity, followed by two writing attentive workshops. Other courses allow students to explore other media writing opportunities or to broaden the scope of their writing expertise by applying that skill and methodology to real-world problems. (eight courses required for the minor: 21-22 credit hours)
