“Engage and leverage the Wells alumnae/alumni network to increase investment in our students, their future and Wells College”
Summary
This objective focuses on utilizing Wells’s unique structure as a smaller institution to engage on a personal level to support students as they work to reach their full potential with mentorship and advising. Formalizing a mentorship framework will engage all levels of students in career development. Student success requires an integrated and proactive career development framework with a liberal-arts lens.
This approach focuses on identifying individual personal and academic interests, and transitioning those interests into a successful career. It is important to encourage students to develop an attitude of individual responsibility and take charge of one’s personal and professional goals, while also learning to ask for assistance and provide help to others.
