At Wells College, we offer both indoor and outdoor locations for wedding ceremonies and receptions. Our facilities accommodate small gatherings or groups up to 300. Throughout June and July, take advantage of our beautiful location and historic buildings to hold a memorable and beautiful ceremony. Preferred locations include the Main Building chapel with available pipe organ and the newly dedicated Ryerson Commons terrace.
Our academic spaces offer state of the art classrooms, conference rooms, and an auditorium and are available during the months of June and July. Choose from our newly renovated Zabriskie Hall, the impressive Stratton Hall science building, the unique architecture of Long Library, and more — or choose from a variety of other types of meeting and gathering spaces for your event. Attendees have the option of staying in our residence halls, a comfortable, convenient, affordable option on campus. Residence halls may be rented by the room or building.
Our academic buildings and residence halls are also available for family reunions. Hold a picnic on the Ryerson Commons outdoor patio, plan gatherings in the residence hall lounges, and enjoy the lakeside location with your family.

Do you host private events or weddings year round?
To accommodate our academic calendar, Wells only rents spaces for outside events from the beginning of June through July 31. No events are scheduled on campus when classes are in session.
Is there a deposit required?
We require a 50% non-refundable deposit, which is applied toward the total cost of your event. The deposit is due at signing of contract and the remaining balance is due one week prior to event.
Can we bring in our own caterer?

What are the bar options?
Wells Campus Dining and Events provides a variety of bar packages for catered events; please call us at 315.364.3378 for more information. The College pub, the Well, is available for rental and serves beer, wine and cider.
Can I smoke on campus?
No. Wells College is a non-smoking campus.
Do you provide chairs and tents for outside ceremonies and are there additional fees for them?
Chairs for outside ceremonies are rented from a local rental company and fees charged from a local rental company are passed directly to the event organizer.
Can I rent part of a residence hall with no other events allowed in the building?
You may rent a full dorm building for a set price, which will prevent the building being shared with other events.
Are bedding and towels included in the residence hall room rental?
Yes. We provide sheets, blankets, towels, some toiletries. Bedding can be changed during extended stays for an additional fee. You may bring your own and utilize our laundry facilities located in each residence hall.
