| George S. Pettibone and his family
originally built Pettibone House in 1857 as a private residence. In 1869,
Henry Wells purchased the property and later deeded it to the college to
serve as a residence for the college president. The building has served
many purposes over the years - home of the president, infirmary, college
residence hall, student center. In the early 90's the building was renovated,
and the building now houses the External Relations Department including
Alumnae Affairs, Communications, and Development. |
