Reservation and Fare Information

Reservations for all transportation services are required. Transportation vehicles have a limited number of seating and it is managed on a first come, first served basis.

On-campus individuals must sign-up for the transportation service in the reservation book in the Transportation Department. Sign-ups are required 15 minutes prior to the departure time and must be legible. Print your first and last name and the destination or pick-up location. Off-campus individuals should make their reservation by calling the reservation line at 315-364-3385.

The vehicle stops only if someone has reserved a drop-off or pick-up at one of the specified destinations. Depending on variables like road conditions, the number of stops, weather, and mechanical problems, significant differences in pick-up times may occur. It is recommended that passengers arrive at the stop five minutes before the vehicle is scheduled to arrive. If the vehicle is 15 minutes late, beyond the scheduled pick-up time, please contact the Campus Safety Department at 315-364-3229. In an effort to keep the vehicle on schedule and get passengers to their destinations on time, the driver will only wait 2 minutes beyond the scheduled departure time from any location (including Main). There are no turn-arounds once a vehicle is in route.

For in-route pick-ups, cancellations, or emergency transportation issues contact the Campus Safety Department at 315-364-3229.

Reservation cancellations are also required. Cancellations must be made 15 minutes prior to the scheduled departure. If the cancellation is not called in 15 minutes prior to the scheduled departure, it will result in the issuance of a transportation fine (see transportation fine policy).

The fare for the Ithaca daily transportation services and Auburn weekend transportation services is $1.00 each way (exact change). Payment is due at time of ride. There are no IOU’s. If you do not pay at time of ride, a fine (see transportation fine policy) will result. Wells students may purchase a transportation pass in lieu of paying cash each time. The cost of a pass is $16.00 for (20) rides. You may purchase a transportation pass in the Transportation Department office between the hours of 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Ithaca Daily/Auburn Weekend Shuttle Cancellation Policy
Ithaca Daily/Auburn Weekend Shuttle Cancellation Policy
The safety of our community is our first priority. For this reason, during the winter months, hazardous road conditions could cause a severe delay or cancellation of a regularly scheduled transportation shuttle. The decision to cancel a transportation shuttle will only be made by the transportation coordinator or the director of campus safety. Should a cancellation occur, the following guidelines will apply:
• A campus wide email will be sent to inform the community of the cancellation
• At no time will an individual be “stranded” due to a cancelled transportation shuttle. If you need assistance due to a cancelled transportation shuttle, please contact the 24-hour Campus Safety Department at 315-364-3229.

Campus Arrival/Departure and Break Shuttles
**Students should expect delays at the airport and bring extra cash for food and necessities.
