Katie Camarro '85 to Speak at Wells' 3rd Annual Entrepreneurship Competition

The Susan Wray Sullivan ’51 and Pike H. Sullivan Center for Business and Entrepreneurship at Wells College is proud to welcome Katie Camarro ’85, founder and “Sweet Chief” of Sundaes Best Hot Fudge Sauce, to be the speaker and guest judge for Wells' third annual Student Entrepreneurship Competition.  

Katie is CEO of Greenfield’s Greatest Food Company Inc., purveyors of the nationally and internationally-popular Sundaes Best Hot Fudge Sauce. She is a celebrating 12 years of sweetness in her specialty food business. Katie formerly founded and ran her own marketing/consulting business Timber Springs Marketing which specialized in sales management and marketing in the wholesale trade.

An accomplished chocolatier, Katie has been featured on The Food Network and the website Daily Grommet. She has appeared in “Every Day with Rachel Ray” and “Where Women Cook” magazines and recently published a chapter in the new book “Pieography: Where Pie Meets Biography—42 Fabulous Recipes Inspired by 39 Extraordinary Women” by Jo Packham and Stampington Press.

A proud graduate of Wells College with a bachelor’s in American history, she lives in historic Saratoga Springs, N.Y., on a small farm with her husband Jeff and her two Great Pyrenees dogs Sundae and Esher.

Katie’s philosophy on food is simple: “Life is short, eat dessert first!” Her philosophy on business is best summarized by Thomas Jefferson: “Opportunity is often missed by most people, because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.”
