Mattraw gave the Express a three goal lead in the 52nd minute and Wells looked to be on cruise control but, Brown gave the Storm some life just three minutes later, ripping a shop to the upper left corner from six yards out, trimming the lead to two (3-1). Less than two minute later Britni Burch pulled Keuka within one goal on assist from Nicole Sharick as the momentum began to shift in favor of the Storm.
Mattraw found the back of the net for her second goal of the game in the 61st minute as it appeared the Express would hold off the onslaught from Keuka. However, the Storm continued to pressure inside the offensive zone of Wells and it would pay off. Drawing a corner kick in the 78th minute, the ensuing kick would find Sharick who sent a shot past Cassie Smythe -- who finished with 18 saves – pulling the Storm back to within one (4-3). Keuka tied the game just moments later on goal by Elly Disbrow, tying the game at 4-all and forcing overtime.
Keuka would need just 3:40 of overtime play to complete the comeback victory. Sarah Capek broke in down the middle and sent a touch pass to Brown who beat Smythe for the game winning goal.
