Ebsco Online: New Database Service Offered
The Library is now offering access to Ebsco Online from the Electronic Reading Room page on our website. This service can be accessed from any internet-connected computer on campus, or from off-campus via a Wells account.
EBSCO Online provides users with the ability to search and access all electronic journal subscriptions from one Web site. Along with abstracts to thousands of titles, EBSCO Online offers the full text to 20 of Wells College subscription titles. As publishers release permission, this number of full text titles will increase.
"EBSCO Online is a World Wide Web-based service that provides a single source for all aspects of a comprehensive electronic journal collection. Users can go to one URL and use one search engine to search across journal content from a variety of publishers."
"EBSCO customers now have access to more than 2,100 electronic journals via the service. Recently, the company marked a development milestone when it surpassed the 2,000 mark in number of fully searchable titles available through the electronic journals service. Available content from a number of publishers now includes more than 308,000 articles from more than 27,500 individual issues."
