Thursday, June 5

8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Library Open. Featuring the WCAA quilts, archival displays, the ‘53 Artistry: More than Memories exhibit, Sisters in Spirit: Celebrating the Iroquois Influence on the Early Woman’s Rights Movement exhibit and From Wells to the White House, a digital presentation of our archival resources specifically pointed at the life of Frances Folsom Cleveland 1885. Long Library.

1:00 - 4:30 p.m. Bookstore Open. Smith Hall.

2:00 - 9:00 p.m. Reunion officially begins! Registration desk open. Faculty Parlors, Main Building.

2:00 - 9:00 p.m. String Room Gallery open. Featuring Noerena Abookire’s textile art show “Because I’m Your Mother.” Main Building.

2:00 - 5:00 p.m. Aurora Inn Tours. Reservations required, sign-up at the registration desk. Tours will be half an hour. (Transportation available) Main Street, Aurora.

2:00 - 5:30 p.m. Hospitality area open, hosted by the Alumnae Association. Faculty Parlors. Main Building.

2:30 - 4:00 p.m. Walking tour of the village. See Aurora’s transformation, as well as the refurbishment of the Aurora Inn (2-mile walk). Includes interior tour of Inn.  Meet in front of Main Building.

3:00 - 4:00 p.m. Explore Wells - Campus tour. Rediscover old treasures like Glen Park, Pettibone and other campus gems. Leave from the String Room Gallery, Main Building.

3:00 - 5:00 p.m. Pool and fitness/cardio rooms open. Schwartz Student Union.

4:00 - 5:00 p.m. Art reception. Meet Washington D.C. artist Noerena Abookire and view her unique textile work that focuses on the messages women receive from their mothers. String Room Gallery. Main Building.

5:30 - 6:30 p.m. Welcoming Reception at the President’s home. Greet President Ryerson and see historic Taylor House. Dean Hall will introduce Alumnae College faculty. (Transportation available). 396 Main Street, Aurora.

6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Dinner with Alumnae College faculty. (Transportation available) Aurora Inn, Main Street.

8:00 - 9:00 p.m. Aurora Inn Tours. Reservations required, sign-up at the registration desk. Tours will be half an hour. (Transportation available) Main Street, Aurora.
 
 

Friday, June 6

7:00 a.m. sharp Alumnae College Bird Walk led by Kevin Kimber, MS/DMV; Ph.D. candidate at Cornell University. Meet at Glen Park Bridge.

7:00 - 9:00 a.m. Breakfast. Dining Hall.

7:30 a.m. Beginners Yoga Class. Instructor Lesley Kennedy leads a one-hour Yoga Class. Limited to 20. Dance Studio, Schwartz Student Union.

8:15 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. Registration desk open. Faculty Parlors, Main Building.

9:00 - 10:30 a.m. Alumnae College Welcome and Opening Session. Welcome by Dean of the College Ellen Hall and Dean of Experiential Learning Terry Martinez. Opening session: “Confronting ‘-centrisms’: Experiential Learning and World Religions” led by Professor David Reis. Art Exhibit Room, Macmillan Hall.

10:30 a.m. Coffee Break. Art Exhibit Room Lobby, Macmillan Hall.

10:45 a.m. - noon Alumnae College Session. “Service-Learning in Psychology: A View from Both Ends of the Lifespan” led by Professor Milene Morfei. Art Exhibit Room, Macmillan Hall.

Noon -1:30 p.m. Lunch. Dining Hall.

1:30 - 3:00 p.m.   Alumnae College Session. “A Total Experience: a hands-on look at the Book Arts Center” led by Director of the Book Arts Center Terry Chouinard and Victor Hammer Fellow Sarah Roberts. Book Arts Center, Morgan Hall.

Friday afternoon activities:

Noon - 5:00 p.m. Hospitality area open, hosted by the Alumnae Association. Faculty Parlors, Main Building.

1:00 - 2:00 p.m. MacKenzie-Childs Tour. Tour the pottery facilities and visit their shop. First of two tours. Limit 50. (Transportation available) Meet in front of Main Building.

2:00 - 5:00 p.m. Canoeing and Kayaking. Weather permitting. Life jackets must be worn. College dock.

2:00  - 3:00 p.m. MacKenzie-Childs Tour. Tour the pottery facilities and visit their shop. Second of two tours. Limit 50. (Transportation available) Meet in front of Main Building.

3:00 - 4:30 p.m. Interactive artist’s workshop with Noerena Abookire. Explore the messages we receive as women from our mothers in a participative, fun movement activity. Sommer Center, Smith Hall.

3:00 - 4:30 p.m. Film Fest sponsored by the class of 1968. “Antonia’s Line”, winner of the 1995 Academy Award for best foreign film. Auditorium, Cleveland Hall.

3:00 - 5:00 p.m. Pool and fitness/cardio rooms open. Schwartz Student Union.

3:30 - 5:00 p.m. Wine tasting, hosted by the Alumnae Association. Featuring local wines from King Ferry Winery, Long Point Winery and Six Mile Creek Winery. Aurora Window, Main Building.

3:30 – 4:30 p.m. Explore Wells - Campus tour. Rediscover old treasures like Glen Park, Pettibone and other campus gems. Leave from the String Room Gallery, Main Building.

5:30 – 6:30 p.m. Annual Alumnae Address. President Lisa Marsh Ryerson ’81. Phipps Auditorium, Macmillan Hall.

6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Reception and Dinner with Faculty and Staff members. Converse with Wells’ excellent faculty and staff. Cash bar, hearty hors d’ouevres, carving station, and dessert available. (Transportation available). AA Field.

8:30 p.m. Village Nightlife! Conversation and jazz at the Aurora Inn until 11:00 pm. Laughter, music and friends at the Fargo Bar and Grill. Cash bars available. (Transportation available till 11 p.m.). Main Street, Aurora.
 
 

Saturday, June 7

10:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m.  Hospitality area open, hosted by the Alumnae Association. Faculty Parlors. Main Building.

10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Alumnae Association Award Convocation. The Wells College Alumnae Association honors genetic pioneer, Peggy Pericak-Vance ‘73. Phipps Auditorium, Macmillan Hall.

11:30 a.m. sharp Alumnae Class photos. Alumnae only. In class order, beginning with the Class of 1938 (You can order a class photo at the Registration Desk.) Steps of Macmillan Hall.

Noon -1:30 p.m. Picnic Lunch. Dining Hall.

1:00 - 4:30 p.m. Aurora Inn Tours. Reservations required, sign-up at the registration desk. Tours will be half an hour. (Transportation available) Main Street, Aurora.

1:00 – 3:30 p.m. Wells College Alumnae Association’s Annual Golf Tournament. Reunion Alumnae and guests are invited to join the fun on the Wells Golf Course. Meet at the clubhouse at 12:45 pm.

2:30 - 3:30 p.m. Friends of Bill W. meeting. Mary Woodman ’94 will facilitate. Room 126, Macmillan Hall.

3:30 p.m. Singing Rehearsal. Former Henry’s VIII and Whirligig members tune up for the evening performance. Auditorium, Barler Hall.

6:00 p.m.- midnight Reunion 2003 Celebration Gala. Enjoy a wonderful reception and dinner under a beautiful tent overlooking Cayuga Lake. The night will also feature skit, gift presentation by the 25th, 40th and 50th Reuning classes, live music and dancing - you won’t want to miss this! Cash bar available. (Transportation available). AA Field.

9:45 p.m. Fireworks by Auburn/Telstar Display Fireworks. AA Field.
 
 

Sunday, June 8

7:30 - 10:00 a.m. Brunch. Dining Hall.

7:30 - 9:00 a.m. 5K Fun Run. T-shirts for all participants. Meet in front of Main Building.

9:00 - 10:00 a.m. Service of Remembrance. The Alumnae Association invites you to this ecumenical service to honor and remember classmates who have died or need support. Officiated by Dean of Students Karen Green and Wells College Chaplain James K. Boodley. Chapel, Main Building.

9:00 a.m. - noon Registration Desk Open. Faculty Parlors, Main Building.

9:00 a.m. - noon Bookstore Open. Smith Hall.
