Thursday, June 1

2:00-8:00 p.m.
Registration and Room Assignments, Main Building

2:00-5:30 p.m.
Hospitality Tent Open. Refreshments. Hosted by the Alumnae Association Board., Smith Hall Lawn

2:00-4:30 p.m., Open Houses:

2:30 p.m.
Work on the new Wells Ropes Course, Smith Hall Lawn. Dean of Experiential Learning Terry Martinez and Director of Student Activities Jeanine Birchenough will lead alumnae through an outdoor team building course. Wear pants and sneakers. Meet at the Hospitality Tent.

3:00-4:00 p.m.
Campus Tour, Smith Hall Lawn. Led by Maggie Thomas '84. Leave from the Hospitality Tent.

5:30 p.m.
Alumnae College Welcoming Reception (Cash bar available), Dining Hall Lawn

6:30-7:30 p.m.
Buffet Dinner, Dining Hall

8:00 p.m.
Alumnae College Opening Session, Barler Hall. President Lisa Marsh Ryerson and Dean Ellen Hall set the stage for an investigation of the liberal arts. Followed by a performance produced by Professor Susan Forbes. Featured will be a reading from The Second Coming of Joan of Arc by Carolyn Gage and songs and dances from Carnival Girls, Christie Perfetti's senior project.

Friday, June 2

7:00 a.m. sharp
Alumnae College Bird Walk, Glen Park Bridge. Led by Dr. Mindy LaBranche '80, Project Leader, Project Pigeon Watch at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, and Ann Mathieson, Assistant to the Dean of Experiential Learning.

7:30-9:00 a.m.
Breakfast, Dining Hall

8:15 a.m.-10:00 p.m.

8:30 a.m.
Alumnae College Session. Has the Future Arrived? A Look at the Role of Science and Technology in Society, Barler Hall. Panelists: Dr. Mindy LaBranche '80, Project Leader, Project Pigeon Watch at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, and Professors Carol Shilepsky and Candace Collmer. Dean Ellen Hall moderates.

9:45 a.m.
Alumnae College Session. The Global Village: How Domestic Politics, International Relations, and the World Economy will Affect our Lives in the Coming Years, Barler Hall. Panelists: Professors Tukumbi Lumumba-Kasongo and Beatrice Farnsworth, Wendy Baker '75 and Mary Jane Spellane Marchisotto '75. Dean Ellen Hall moderates.

Coffee Break, Main Faculty Parlors

11:15 a.m.
Alumnae College Keynote Address: Wells College: One Man's Journey, Main Chapel. Professor Arthur Bellinzoni, who will retire this June after 38 years of teaching the women of Wells, will discuss his years at the college and the role of the liberal arts in today's society.

1:45 p.m.
Alumnae College Session: Human Spirituality in the New Century, Art Exhibit Room. Panelists: Reverend Barbara Sterling Willson '73, chaplain of Hospice of Central New York, Professors Arthur Bellinzoni and Jenny Yates. Dean Ellen Hall moderates.

2:45-5:45 p.m.
Hospitality Tent Open, Smith Hall Lawn. Refreshments. Hosted by the Alumnae Association Board.

2:45-5:00 p.m.
Trip to MacKenzie-Childs, Ltd. Pottery Studio, Front of Main Building. Visit the shop and gardens. (No fee.)

2:45-4:00 p.m.
Campus tour, Smith Hall Lawn. Led by Maggie Thomas '84. Leave from Hospitality Tent.

3:00-4:00 p.m.
Faculty members will be available to answer questions and demonstrate the equipment in two of our new technology labs:

Trip to King Ferry Winery, Front of Main Building. Makers of fine Treleaven wines. ($1.00 fee to be collected there.)

Canoes available (Weather permitting. Life jackets must be worn.), College Dock

Walking tour of historical campus locations, Front of Macmillan. Led by Jane Marsh Dieckmann '55, author of Wells College: A History.

Conversation and Book Signing, Art Exhibit Room. Helen Johnson '82, author of Don't Tell Me What to Do, Just Send Money: The Essential Parenting Guide for the College Years.

5:15-5:40 p.m.
Book Signing, Smith Hall Lawn. Jane Marsh Dieckmann '55 will sign copies of her book, Wells College: A History. Hospitality Tent.

5:15-5:40 p.m.
Book Signing, Smith Hall Lawn. Anne Goddard Charter '35 will sign copies of her book, Cowboys Don't Walk. A portion of the proceeds of each sale will benefit the Class of 1935 Project Fund. Hospitality Tent.

6:00 p.m.
State of the College Address by President Lisa Marsh Ryerson, Phipps Auditorium. (This event is not appropriate for young children.)

7:00 p.m.
Reception with Wells faculty and staff members, Macmillan Hall Lawn (Hors d'ouevres, soda, wine and beer served. Cash bar available.)

7:30-9:30 p.m.
Dinner. (Cash bar available; wine served with dinner.), Dining Hall

Saturday, June 3

7:00 a.m. sharp
Nature Walk, Glen Park Bridge. Dr. Mindy LaBranche '80, Project Leader, Project Pigeon Watch at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, will visit a different section of campus today, so those who attended Friday are encouraged to come.

7:30 a.m.
Walk to the Kicking Tree Site, Front of Main Building. In the old days, Wells students were required to exercise outdoors daily. Many alumnae fondly remember walking to the kicking tree. Although the tree is no longer there, join Emera Bridger '01 for a walk to this special site.

7:30-9:00 a.m.
Breakfast, Dining Hall. Alumnae who wish to play the Wells Reunion 2000 Trivia Game can pick up their game card here or at the Registration Desk.

9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
Registration and Room Assignment, Main Building

9:15 a.m.
Alumnae March of Classes, Front of Main Building. Bring class banners, beanies, and freshman signs. Classes will line up in order behind the coach. Look for your class sign.

10:00 a.m.
Alumnae Award Convocation, Phipps Auditorium. Honoring environmentalist Jean Clark '45. (This event is not appropriate for young children.)

Approx. 11:15 a.m.
Class Photos, Steps of Macmillan. Immediately following Award Convocation. Alumnae only. We will go in class order, beginning with the Class of 1935.( If you would like to order a class photo, you can do so at the Registration Desk.)

12:00 p.m.
All-American Picnic (Specific Class Picnics at various sites.), Smith Hall Lawn

Afternoon Activities 2:00-4:00 p.m.
Library Open, Long Library 1:00-5:00 p.m.
Pool and Weight Room Open, Student Union 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Bookstore Open, Smith Hall 3:00-5:00 p.m.
Canoeing. (Life jackets must be worn.), College Dock

All former members are encouraged to take part.

4:45-6:00 p.m.
President's Reception, Taylor House. Shuttle vans will begin picking up guests in front of each dorm at 4:30 p.m. The vans will make continuous loops until 6:30 p.m.

6:30 p.m.
Wells College Celebration Gala, AA Field. Dinner, program, music by The Destination, and fireworks! Our gala will take place under a beautiful tent. Take the shuttle van from Taylor House or your dorm for this special event. Parking will be extremely limited and will still involve a walk up the hill. (This event is not appropriate for young children. Wine served with dinner ; cash bar available.)

9:45 p.m.
Fireworks show, AA Field

10:00 p.m.-12:00 a.m.
Music and dancing continue. (Cash bar available.) , AA Field Vans will begin bringing people back to the dorms around 10:00 p.m. and will run until 12:30 a.m.


Sunday, June 4

9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Registration Desk Open, Lobby, Main Building

7:15 a.m.
Reunion Fun Run. Prizes awarded to all participants. Sycamore Tree

7:30-10:00 a.m.
Brunch and Good-Byes, Dining Hall

8:30-9:30 a.m.
Alumnae Association Annual Meeting, Chapel. Come and learn about the work of your Association. The prize from the trivia contest will be awarded. (Coffee available.)

9:30 a.m.
Alumnae Service of Remembrance, Chapel

10:00 a.m.
Reunion Golf Tournament, Golf Course Pro Shop. If you have not signed up to play, you can do so at the Registration Desk until 9:00 a.m. Saturday. ($35 fee.)
