Reunion 1997 took place on campus from Thursday May 29 through Sunday June 1. All alumnae were warmly invited to attend; alumnae with class years ending in "2" or "7" celebrated official reunions.
This year's Alumnae College program, "From the Page to the Web: Celebrating
the Printed Word," offered alumnae the opportunity to learn about the Wells
College Book Arts Center (including the Wells College Press and the
Class of 1932 Bindery). Hands-on sessions on quality bookbinding and letter
press printing, as well as on creating World Wide Web pages and "surfing"
the Web, were offered.
Alumnae and guests were warmly invited to take part in the first Alumnae Association Reunion Golf Tournament. Tee time was 8:00 a.m. Sunday.
The Children's Program (ages 4 through 11) operated Friday evening and
Saturday morning and evening. Irene White '97 and staff kept participants
engaged, involved and entertained!
A Leadership Experience for girls and boys aged 12-15 was offered during
Reunion weekend. The program was led by Terry Martinez, Director of Conferences
and Leadership Programs at Wells.
