Position General Chemistry and Physical Chemistry
The Biological
and Chemical Sciences Major at Wells College seeks an individual qualified
to teach General Chemistry I and/or Physical Chemistry (a one-semester

Admissions
Counselor/Assistant Director
This position
will represent Wells College to prospective students, parents, and high
school counselors for the purpose of recruiting and selecting new students
to the college. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited
to: planning and implementing recruitment activities in assigned
regions/territories (minimum 8 weeks of travel in the fall/ 4 weeks in
the spring), managing all phases of the application and selection process,
conducting prospective student interviews, participating in on-campus visitation

Library Coordinator
of Public Services and Outreach
Wells College
seeks a dynamic and forward-thinking individual with a deep commitment
to library leadership, innovation and customer service to coordinate all
library activities associated with public services and outreach.
The ability to lead and manage these services while serving as a catalyst
for change is critical. The Coordinator of Public Services and Outreach
is responsible for all public service activities including reference, instruction,
collection development, information literacy, library outreach and supervises
staff in circulation and reserves, interlibrary loan, and archives. The
Long Library staff recently merged with campus Information Technology to
form a new unit, Library and Information Services (LIS). LIS is also
in the process of creating an information commons that will incorporate
library and campus-wide initiatives to provide enhanced academic support
for Wells College students. The Coordinator will participate in the development
and consolidation of additional programmatic efforts in this area.
Fundamental to the position is the ability to develop and implement more
effective ways to meet faculty and student information needs. In addition,
this person is charged with enhancing outreach activities with internal
and external communities. The Coordinator reports to the Associate Library
Director and is a member of the library’s management team. Qualifications:
MLS or equivalent from an ALA accredited program; demonstrated energy,
initiative, and commitment to customer service; at least three to five
years experience in an academic library, especially in the areas of instruction
and reference with increased programmatic responsibilities over time; collection
development experience; knowledge of major library databases and some experience
with electronic resource selection, licensing and access; supervisory experience
especially in a team-based setting; some familiarity with interlibrary
loan systems and contemporary document delivery programs; some familiarity
with archival material and the issues surrounding their preservation and
utilization; excellent communication and technical skills; and the
ability to lead and excel in a collegial environment contributing to the
College’s commitment to intercultural and global education.

Stationary
Engineer

As a key employee of the College, the Working Grounds Foreman is responsible
for all aspects of supervising the operations of the grounds maintenance

to: assisting the Superintendent of Buildings & Grounds and Director
of Facilities to develop and schedule an overall plan for the maintenance

and maintain certification as a person of competence in all job related

mowing, trimming, snow removal, general landscaping, tree planting and

operating condition; insure all grounds shop and storage areas are kept
clean , organized and safe; assist in grounds maintenance of commercial
owned properties as may be required; oversee and assist with special projects

etc.); oversee and assist set ups for special events (i.e. graduation,
reunion, conferences) as requested. Requirements: extensive knowledge of
grounds maintenance; vehicle operations and general safety procedures;
excellent supervisory and organizational skills; ability to work independently
and also work as a team; must be able to life at least 50lbs, squat,
stand, walk, knee or be in a prone position for at least 15 minutes at
a time; must hold a valid NYS drivers license with no moving violations;
